The Las Vegas strip is a 4 mile stretch. Things are so large that often times you think they are closer than they are. Things look “just right there” and 2 miles later your group is giving you the stink eye for walking it. LOL Just know that going in. Nothing is as close as it appears.
Like any city, Las Vegas has no shortage of transportation options. Many prefer to have their own vehicle, so some fly and rent a car when arriving in Las Vegas. I personally prefer to not worry about where to park a car or how much parking fees are going to eat into my fun budget.
Heading to my resort from the airport my favorite mode of transportation is Uber, Lyft or a cab. On special visits I choose to splurge a bit and go for a Limo pickup. Even though I use the word “splurge”, a limo truly doesn’t break the bank. Actually many times a limo is more affordable depending on how many you will have in your party.
Once you are settled into your hotel there are numerous affordable ways to get around. Several resorts have inter-resort trams for free, and for a reasonable cost the Las Vegas Monorail runs pretty close to the full length of the Strip. The Deuce is a bus that can get you even further for a fairly small price. In my travels, I tend to use cabs less as they are typically the most expensive option now that Uber and Lyft are in the game.
